Regular cycling with the M3 can make ones’ heart and lungs stronger. As cycling ease the blood circulation process of human body, it makes heart and lungs stronger than usual.
Benefits of biking exercise are really very good for human health from every side. Both physical and mental benefits of using the M3 can be enjoyed by almost any age group.

Upper Leg
Anyone who has spent a short amount of time on an indoor cycle, has felt their upper legs working - perhaps even burning.
The primary muscles used to pedal the Keiser M3 are the muscles at the front of the thighs known as the quadriceps.
These big muscles extend from the pelvis to the knee and do most of their work on the down stroke as you pedal. The muscles at the back of the thigh, the
hamstrings, help raise the leg on the upstroke. Indoor cycling also works your gluteal muscles and smaller muscles of the legs such as the hip flexors.
Lower Leg
Although the upper leg is the powerhouse of a cycling workout, the lower leg also works hard when you're riding indoors. As you push down, your calf muscles exert pressure on the pedal.
If you've ever ridden behind someone cycling in shorts, you may have noticed their calves flexing with each pedal stroke. To really work your calf muscles through
the entire pedal stroke, think of pushing the pedal down with your toes on the down stroke and then pulling up with your toes on the upstroke.
It will seem awkward at first, but will improve your cycling form and tone your calves.
Arms and Back
On the Keiser M3 Indoor Cycle, you use your arms and upper back to support the weight of your upper body. Upright stationary bikes do little to work your arms and back.
Bikes with moving poles that you hold onto as you pedal add to the cardiovascular portion of your workout, but do little to build muscle. Due to the reclined position, recumbent bikes are a poor choice for strengthening the upper body.
To work your arm muscles on an upright or recumbent bike, get a set of hand weights and perform arm exercises as you ride.
Cycling, whether indoors or out, helps strengthen your lower back muscles and can help ease certain types of low back pain.
Abdominals
Because you don't have to do much work to balance, indoor cycling doesn't work your abs as much as outdoor cycling, but you still use these muscles to support yourself.
For a better ab workout on an upright stationary bike, concentrate on tightening your stomach muscles during your workout. If toning your abs while you ride is important, opt for a recumbent bike instead of an upright bike.
The semi-reclined position on a recumbent requires you to use your ab muscles as you pedal, especially your lower abs and obliques.
If you are using your outdoor bike to ride on rollers, the effort to stay balanced forces you to use your ab muscles more than a fixed-position stationary bike.

The Keiser M3 Cycle Computer is a powerful teaching and programming tool. It can assist both the instructor and the participant by providing immediate feedback as well as the ability to track on-going improvement.
The Keiser M3 Indoor Bike has a Computer Console that can be used as a motivating tool to engage participants in their workouts, as the more participants understand the components of a proper workout, the further they can fine tune their performance. RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) | Power Output Displays in Watts (currently generating) and Kilo Calories (Total for the ride) | Heart Rate (Polar compatible) | Pedaling Time | Gear (Resistance) (1 to 24 gears) | Trip Distance.
The Keiser M3 Cycle Computer displays:
1 - Backlight Sensor
2 - Cadence (RPM)
3 - Power Output (Watts/Kcal)
4 - Heart Rate (HR)
5 - Elapsed Time
6 - Current Gear (Resistance Level)
7 - Odometer / Trip Distance
The Keiser M3 Cycle's Computer gives accurate and precise information instantly, and automatically. It will also display average ride calculations and total distance that has been put on the machine. The Trip Distance feature was initially intended to be used by gyms and facilities to record how much the Keiser M3 was used for a given time frame. The odometer does not reflect distance in terms of miles or kilometers, rather something in between. For every 200 turns of the crank arm the distance will reflect as 1.0 on the display. In the future, we may revise the computer's algorithm to display a more recognizable distance, which will also be influenced by a rider's pedaling effort or Power.

Keiser M3 Indoor Cycle Eddy Current Resistance: Keiser M3 Cycle Series is a revolutionary line of cardio equipment balancing true performance, while focusing on power output (watts).
An eddy current is an electric current in a conducting material that results from induction by a moving or varying magnetic field. On Keiser M3 Bike Series equipment this is generated by 2 opposing magnets passing over the flywheel.
When the flywheel on the Keiser M3 is turned in proximity of the magnetic field the eddy current is created. The Keiser M3's flywheel acts like a conductor with closed circuits.
Speed Affects Resistance on the Keiser M3 Indoor Cycle Speed is another factor that plays a role in the resistance. The faster the flywheel turns the more energy is being generated (the more resistance is being made) which directly relates to the formula for POWER.
Keiser M3 Indoor Cycle Series Cardio equipment effectively utilizes the POWER formula. Power (amount of work being done in a given amount of time by the rider) = Force (the amount of resistance) x Velocity (RPM, speed the rider is pedaling). This is the same formula all road bikes follow: pedal faster (increase velocity) and the harder it is to move as the wind resistance increases (increase in force) which requires more effort to pedal (increase in the amount of power).
Power is the component that sets performance equipment apart from just fitness equipment. Power is of value to all people from the older adult, to the professional athlete. In fact, Tour De France riders have adopted a mechanism to track the power output in their rides. It’s no longer about heart rate it’s about how much power is being generated by that rider.
The Keiser M3 Cycle differs from most other cardio equipment on the market because you are given the ability to fine tune the intensity of your workout. With other equipment,

Keiser M3 Indoor Cycle Customer Feedback:
Greg,
I got home from work this eve and the part for the Keiser M3 Bike had already arrived. My husband installed it and the bike is now perfect. I took two photos and have attached them. Sorry the file size is large, I hope you can view them. I want to say thank you for being so great to work with. My husband said "It makes it very easy to recommend them." Already my family has visited and been impressed with the bike. It is a delight to ride and very quiet. I put 70 miles in this week (lots of climbing with trianing DVDs), riding five days out of the first six. I have not taken a class in six months so it is pretty challenging. The Keiser M3 bike ended up being placed in our master bedroom and I don't even object because it looks very clean and attractive. Now I don't need to worry about snagging my cycling clothing on the part that got damaged in shipping. Thank you again for taking care of that for me. If you would like to use us for a recommendation in the future we would be happy to provide positive feedback for potential customers for you!
