WaterRower Oak Performance Ergometer Rowing Machine at FitnessZone

The WaterRower Oak Performance Ergometer Rowing Machine is a premium indoor rower designed for users who want accurate performance tracking, connected training, and the smooth feel of WaterRower’s signature water resistance. American made since 1988, this advanced rowing machine combines handcrafted solid oak construction with the SmartRow performance system, upgraded hardware, and an extended user fit range for serious home training and commercial fitness environments.

Built around WaterRower’s traditional dual-rail design, the Oak Performance Ergometer includes the exclusive Power Pulley, upgraded footboard, commercial footpads, 17-inch handle, and an integrated tablet arm with phone holder. These upgrades make it especially well suited for athletes, performance-focused rowers, personal training studios, home gyms, hotels, corporate wellness facilities, and commercial fitness centers.

SmartRow Performance Monitoring

The WaterRower Oak Performance Ergometer uses the SmartRow performance monitor, designed to deliver detailed training data and connected workout features through the WaterRower CONNECT App.

Users can access:

• Detailed rowing performance metrics
• Preset training sessions
• Workout history and progress tracking
• Connected rowing experiences
• Virtual racing with other users
• App-based performance feedback

For users who want more data than a basic rowing monitor provides, SmartRow adds a more performance-focused approach to indoor rowing.

Patented Power Pulley

One of the key upgrades on the WaterRower Performance Ergometer is the patented Power Pulley.

The Power Pulley is designed to enhance performance measurement and provide highly accurate workout data during rowing sessions. Combined with SmartRow, it gives users a more advanced way to monitor power and training output.

This makes the Oak Performance Ergometer especially appealing for:

• Competitive rowers
• Athletes
• Performance training
• Interval workouts
• Structured endurance programs
• Fitness testing
• Serious home users

Handcrafted Oak Construction

The WaterRower Oak Performance Ergometer features a solid oak wood frame finished with Danish oil.

Oak is well suited for rowing-machine construction because it provides strength, durability, and natural vibration absorption. This helps contribute to the smooth and quiet rowing experience WaterRower is known for.

The natural hardwood finish also gives the machine a premium appearance that blends easily into:

• Home gyms
• Personal training studios
• Corporate fitness rooms
• Hotel fitness centers
• Wellness spaces
• Commercial fitness facilities

Natural Water Resistance

The WaterRower Oak Performance Ergometer uses WaterRower’s signature water-resistance system, designed to simulate the feel of rowing on water.

Resistance responds naturally to the amount of effort applied. Row harder and resistance increases. Row more gently and resistance decreases.

This self-regulating resistance makes the rower suitable for a wide range of training goals, including:

• Cardiovascular conditioning
• Full-body workouts
• Endurance training
• HIIT and interval workouts
• Athletic conditioning
• Low-impact exercise
• Functional fitness
• Recovery-focused training

Rowing engages the legs, glutes, core, back, shoulders, and arms, making it an efficient full-body cardiovascular workout.

Heart-Shaped Footboard with Commercial Footpads

The WaterRower Performance Ergometer includes an upgraded heart-shaped footboard with commercial footpads.

This upgraded setup is designed to provide secure foot placement and improved durability during repeated training sessions.

For facilities or users who train frequently, the commercial-style footpads add a practical durability upgrade over a standard recreational configuration.

17-Inch Handle Upgrade

The WaterRower Oak Performance Ergometer also includes a 17-inch handle upgrade.

The wider handle supports a comfortable grip and natural rowing position while helping create a smooth upper-body pull through each stroke.

Tablet Arm with Phone Holder

An integrated tablet arm with phone holder is included with the WaterRower Performance Ergometer.

This allows users to position a phone or compatible device within easy viewing distance while using the WaterRower CONNECT App or other training content.

Medium and large tablet holders are sold separately so users can choose the holder that best fits their personal device.
