Premium American Black Walnut Construction

The WaterRower Walnut Performance Ergometer is handcrafted from American Black Walnut, a premium hardwood known for its rich color, strength, dimensional stability, and natural ability to absorb sound and vibration.

Each walnut frame has its own distinctive grain and coloration, giving every machine a unique appearance. The frame is finished with Danish oil, enhancing the depth and warmth of the wood while helping protect it for long-term use.

The premium hardwood design makes this rower especially well suited for:

• Home gyms
• Luxury fitness rooms
• Personal training studios
• Hotels and resorts
• Corporate wellness centers
• Boutique gyms
• Commercial fitness facilities

SmartRow Performance Monitoring

The SmartRow system is designed for users who want more detailed rowing performance data than a traditional basic console provides.

Through SmartRow and the WaterRower CONNECT App, users can access:

• Detailed workout metrics
• Performance tracking
• Preset training sessions
• Structured workouts
• Workout history
• Connected rowing experiences
• Virtual racing with other users

This makes the WaterRower Walnut Performance Ergometer a strong choice for athletes, performance-focused users, and anyone who wants to closely monitor training progress.

Patented Power Pulley

A key feature of the WaterRower Performance Ergometer is the patented Power Pulley.

The Power Pulley is designed to enhance the accuracy of training data by measuring rowing performance more directly. Combined with SmartRow, it provides a more advanced performance-monitoring setup for users who want to track output and training results.

This feature is especially useful for:

• Performance training
• Athletic conditioning
• Interval workouts
• Endurance programs
• Fitness testing
• Competitive rowing-style workouts

Natural Water Resistance

The WaterRower Walnut Performance Ergometer uses WaterRower’s signature water-resistance system, designed to create a smooth and natural rowing feel.

Resistance responds directly to user effort. Row harder and resistance increases. Row easier and resistance decreases.

This self-regulating resistance makes the machine suitable for:

• Cardiovascular conditioning
• Full-body workouts
• Endurance training
• HIIT
• Interval training
• Low-impact exercise
• Functional fitness
• Recovery-focused training

Rowing engages the legs, glutes, core, back, shoulders, and arms, providing an efficient total-body workout.

Heart-Shaped Footboard with Commercial Footpads

The Walnut Performance Ergometer includes an upgraded heart-shaped footboard with commercial footpads.

This setup is designed to provide secure foot positioning and added durability for frequent use. The commercial-style footpads are particularly useful for high-use environments and serious training.

XL Rails for Taller Users

The XL rails extend the usable rowing length, helping accommodate taller users and longer leg lengths.

The Walnut Performance Ergometer supports users with an inseam up to approximately 41 inches / 104 cm, making it more accommodating than many standard rowing machines.

17-Inch Handle Upgrade

A 17-inch rowing handle is included for improved grip width and a comfortable rowing position.

The wider handle supports a natural pulling motion and can help create a more consistent stroke through the drive and recovery phases.

Tablet Arm with Phone Holder

The WaterRower Walnut Performance Ergometer includes a tablet arm with phone holder, allowing users to keep a device within easy viewing distance while training.

A medium tablet holder is included, while a large tablet holder is available separately.

This setup is especially useful when using:

• WaterRower CONNECT
• Training apps
• Streaming content
• Workout videos
• Performance dashboards
